A man with a vision, Elro (1925 - 1995) quickly expanded this business and in 1985 an additional 42 ha were in production with a further 21 ha in 1987.
In addition to the leather leaf, there is also a variety of other cut green foliage.
The leather leaf is sold locally and exported overseas. Elro received two prestigious awards of Merit for Export Achievement for Ngogolo Decorative Greens in 1986 and 1989 from the State President.
Eldene was the proud recipient of the DTI Business Award for Export in 2002.
